Norfolk’s Traditional, Rural, Vernacular & Sustainable Skills Centre
The Traditional Skills Trust (TST) aims to grow an existing consultancy and skills training facility. The proposed expanded facility seeks to deliver skills opportunities that benefit the natural and historic environment.
On the site there has been a long standing commitment to delivering skills training on behalf of the charity: Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) and to Cressing Temple Barns ECC.
Tradition craft skills such as Lime mortar and plasters, masonry, carpentry and blacksmithing will be taught as a ‘hands on’ experience.
Wildlife awareness and wilding is taught utilising onsite ancient woodland, ponds, ditches and other habitats which have been lovingly tended, managed and developed over the last 20 years.

Continued research and development and training
We run a number of courses and seminars on the historic built environment, traditional crafts skills and art and design work. Courses and day trips are run in a number of locations across the UK for professions and colleges.
Testing and Reporting
Independent testing for a number of construction materials is available. We have completed testing and monitoring as well as identification of contributing factors of failure
